16-year-old players can participate in a 13-15 league for 2019

Again in 2019, Babe Ruth League is allowing 16 year old players to participate in a 13-15 league. This applies to regular season play only as these 16 year olds are not eligible for tournament play.

Mr Thomas DeSautel, a long-time friend of Babe Ruth Baseball, passed away on November 19, 2017. A long time member of the New Hampshire Baseball Umpires Association (NHBUA), he umpired high school and Babe Ruth games for over 40 years. He served as league president of Seacoast Senior Babe Ruth League and as a NH Babe Ruth State Tournament Director.

In 1951, ten men, who believed that the future of their community depended upon the proper development of the young people, met at the historic Yardville Hotel in Hamilton Township, New Jersey, for the purpose of developing a baseball program for young men between 13 and 15 years of age.
